Dear Friends of Companion Animals,

We are committed to the protection of companion animals and cannot allow the suffering of the unseen “puppy mill” dog to continue. Protection of these animals must be guaranteed by laws/statutes and regulations pertaining to and focusing on their general health and well-being. This guarantee can only be accomplished when the companion animals do not compete with the farm animals. Therefore, it is imperative that the Bureau of Dog Law and its enforcement be removed from the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Agriculture.

The attached petition is intended to bring this issue to the attention of Governor Edward Rendell. We propose that the Bureau of Dog Law become the Dog Law Commission and report only to the Governor.

Will you help us secure signatures of Pennsylvania residents of voting age? If you would like to participate, proceed with the following;

The goal of United Against Puppy Mills is to send 100,000 signatures to the Governor by August 26, 2006, National Dog Day. Please help us achieve this goal!

Your consideration of this request is sincerely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Fellow Animal Advocate
